The deity depicted in this statue is actually one of the Seven Lucky Gods, or Shichi Fukujin. (Read about them here, and here)
His name is Hotei, the God of Happiness and Abundance! A jolly fellow who is said to grant happiness and luck if you rub his belly.
So yeah, not Buddha. Still great though!

I don’t really mind blue days. I don’t ever feel like I should get over the feeling or think about something else. Blue days are cleansing. Crying is cleansing. Being vulnerable and held is cleansing. If we can just find the right places to feel these things. There a lot of right places.
